Women

Women play an exceptionally pivotal role in society and are critical to the progression and success of any community. Muslim women have a rich history creating positive social change and uplifting their communities through service, education and media, health and social services, philanthropy and spiritual growth.

The Trust is fully inclusive and encourages the active participation of women within our centres and mosques to bring about lasting and meaningful change to lives, families and communities. In addition it seeks to support and build the capacity of women so that they may play an active role at the most senior levels and further enable them to engage effectively with wider society as a whole.

The Trust’s vision is to be instrumental in the empowerment of women and seeks to assist in the educational, spiritual, social and personal development of Muslim women and their families by organising programs, courses and events.

Emphasis on spiritual and Islamic knowledge is at the core of our education programme and monthly gatherings. Bringing women together through interactive and motivating study circles is a means to develop firm foundations in the religion.

Topics cover a wide range of subjects including lessons from the Qur’an, Seerah of Prophet Muhammad to everyday issues.

Courses focusing on personal development help build the development of confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness so as to increase opportunities for personal progression and community engagement.

This course aims to give women the skills and confidence to take first steps towards change. It builds upon their personal experience and interests and offers practical ways to set goals, address barriers, develop motivation and self-belief towards personal change and enhance communication and negotiation skills.

Enhancing leadership skills is paramount to the development of individuals and that of the organisation.

Our Leadership Skills development course covers an array of topics and activities so as to encourage women to take an active part in local initiatives and the regeneration of their communities.
